Ganderbal, Nov 20 (KNO): The residents of Buserbugh in Ganderbal district have been enduring power outages for the past seven days due to the frequent damage to the area's transformer.
Locals believe the current transformer is unable to handle the electrical load, leading to recurring breakdowns and extended power cuts.
Sajad Ahmad, a resident of Buserbugh, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that “the transformer is overloaded and gets damaged almost every day. We request the installation of a new transformer so that we don’t face these difficulties.”
Another local, Nisar Ahmad, told KNO, “This has become a daily problem for us. Our children are unable to study, and the elderly are facing hardships without proper electricity. The authorities must act quickly to resolve this issue.”
The residents have urged the administration to address their grievances and install a new transformer as soon as possible to restore a reliable power supply—(KNO)
